Mimi Calpe, built in the 1860s by Franco-British architects, was the vacation home of an influential Jewish family from Tangier who lived in the residential area of Marshan. This house was the scene of brilliant receptions attended by the entire European and Moroccan elite.
Particularly well preserved in its original architecture, surrounded by a century-old garden, a veritable green setting on the edge of the old Jewish cemetery, it is part of Tangier’s historical heritage and has found a second life in its recent renovation

In 1995, Sophie Raynal, then an architecture student at the Beaux Arts de Paris, fell in love with Morocco during a trip to Marrakech. This trip revealed a passion for Morocco. She successively undertook the renovation of several houses in Marrakech, Oualidia and Tangier, with the requirement of authenticity, a taste for fine arts and architecture as her motto. A true aesthetic vision.
Sophie is no longer with us, but she has passed on to her family and her team the values of her sensitivity and humanism. It is all of this, dear guests, that you will feel during your visit, and this is what we wish you from the depths of our hearts.
We are always here to help you, just fill out the form and we will be happy to answer you.
